Campaign Against HR 669

This legislation only allows approved animals to be kept at pets. This is an issue of state's rights! States that have problems with invasive species should regulate their own states. Wildlife that can live IN HI or FL can not survive IL winter. Also take into consideration the economy. From food, care, and pet purchases in 2007 was a total $41.2 billion. This includes from dogs to dart frogs according to the American Pet Products Association.

A good course of action right now is to write and call you local congressional representative. If you are unaware of who yours is or where to write and call search here: https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml Remember this is a House issue so do not write a senator at this point.

I would also write and call all 10 cosponsors of this legislation, especially if one of them is your representative.

I would also urge people to send a letter via snail mail. It has much more impact than emails do. Think if the local congressional representative received 10,000 envelopes vs. 10,000 emails.
